New Series

As an extension of my series "Poetry of Place," I have created a series inspired by a recent trip to the Galapagos Islands. Lava, birds, nature and endemic species underscore the beauty and importance of biodiversity.

"Evening Path" at the OMG

My painting for the Ottawa Miniature Gallery is approximately 2"x 3" and is called "Evening Path." All the art in the gallery is at a 1:12 scale, so if this were at a normal scale, the piece would be 24"x 36."

OMG is open for viewing!

The Ottawa Miniature Gallery is ready for visitors! You can see the full gallery at Happy Goat Coffee, 35 Laurel St. Ottawa. The range of art is quite incredible and will leave you in awe about the level of skill and talent of the artists. This is a photo of one side of the gallery. My painting "Evening Path" is on the second floor off to the left.

A Different Perspective

I had the good fortune to spend the last few weeks travelling, including spending two weeks in the beautiful Galapagos Islands. Different land, different animals and different colours! I'm looking forward to seeing how they are reflected in my works in progess!

Summer Breezes

Just need to put some finished touches on this “Summer Breezes” series. These pieces are inspired by the bright colours of summer. Come see the finished products at our new pop-up show Art on the Water, Saturday, July 16 at Somewhere Inn,
 Calabogie.

Work in Progress - Summer Breezes

Making progress with this group of littles. The series is called “Summer Breezes” as it reflects the vibrant, natural colours that surround me.

Painted Edges!

These edges are little paintings themselves! Pretty marks and colours that enhance the main event.

Lakeside Prep!

It's a lovely day at the lake! Perfect for prepping some cradle boards with gesso and sealer. If I do a batch together, it saves time and then they are ready when I feel inspired to paint them.

Shedding New Light!

I am very pleased with my new Daylight Techne easel light! Positionable to avoid glare and it fastens securely. Three levels of Daylight.

Painting the Edges!

With this recent series, I have chosen to carry the paint around the sides of the canvas or board. It adds extra volume to the painting and is a fun and relaxing way to finish the piece!
